While this is a useful first step in starting a conversation there are many other factors that influence the cost of a roll. Process parameters, product being processed, sheet thickness all have an effect on the cost of a roll.
As you can see by the picture, a 17.5 inch diameter by 65 inch face roll can be built in a variety of manners, resulting in a large range of pricing. I encourage all in the market for a new roll to provide as much information as possible to your roll suppliers to ensure you are getting the best roll optimized for your process
